On Monday night our Chicago Bulls played against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In that game, the unguardable Derrick Rose put on a show with 30 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds. Jimmy Butler sprained his thumb in the previous game against Charlotte and decided to take a rest until the end of the preseason. Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah all got the job done by rebounding and getting us put back or second chance points.
Our defense is lacking in some parts. In one of the inbound plays, Tristan Thompson from the Cavs caught an oop from inbounder Dellavedova which had the crowd going crazy. After that play, the Bulls fell apart and started missing easy shots. The Bulls came up short to the Cavs scoring 98 points to the Cavs 107 points. Thankfully we get to play them again on the 31st. Hopefully we can give the Cavs a few nightmares on Halloween.
In our next game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, we need to focus on shutting down their point guard Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer, and Anthony Bennett. If we do that it, will be very easy to stop the Timberwolves. Although we will be missing Jimmy Butler, we have many other people who can come off the bench in to that starting role. Hopefully our next run is a win!
